Family Events

The BSCO organizes and sponsors annual family events at Bonny Slope. Each event has a volunteer planning committee as well as many additional volunteers that help staff the event. These activities are only possible through our parent and community volunteers. Learn more about the activities below and how to get involved! If you are interested in volunteering for any of the activities, please contact volunteers@bonnyslopebsco.org. If you are interesting in leading or serving on any of the committees that make these activities possible, please fill out this interest survey.

  • The Back to School Picnic celebrates the beginning of each new school year. This family event is held before school starts, immediately following Bonny Slope's Meet the Teacher and School Supply Drop-off. Families bring their own picnic and dine outside on the Bonny Slope grounds.

This is a great chance to touch base with old friends, interact with the Bonny Slope teachers and staff, and meet some new friends.

  • This fun-filled event celebrates the fall season!

The event is flexible and has included in the past: a neighborhood scavenger hunt, trick-or-treat stations in the neighborhood behind the school, a haunted house and activities stations inside the school, photo booths at the front of the school, and trunk-or-treat in the bus lane.

Halloween costumes are welcomed (though leave the gory costumes and weapons at home) and takes place mid- to late-October.

  • At the end of each school year, Bonny Slope volunteers put together an amazing carnival for our students and their families.

This is a free event for all Bonny Slope families. Dinner and snacks are available for purchase at the carnival or you can bring your own dinner and eat Picnic-style.
