Meet us on the Playground
Start the school year off right! Whether you are an in-coming Kindergarden family, a returning family, or new to BSE - we are so excited to see you.
Join us at the Bonny Slope Elementary playground to meet new friends, connect with buddies you haven't seen in a while, get information on the coming year and play!
We will have information on how to volunteer at the school, useful parent resources, the calendar of events for the coming year, and answers for your questions.

Meet the Teacher Night and BSCO Picnic
Bring your school supplies and come meet your teacher for the start of a wonderful year at Bonny Slope!
Pack a picnic dinner for after the introductions. Throw down a blanket, get to know the community, meet some of the BSCO Board who will be there to answer questions, and relax in the knowledge that the start of school is just around the corner.
Free Kona Ice will be provided by BSCO for all students and their families. Enjoy!

BSCO Family Picnic: August 21st, 2025, 4:30 - 7:00 pm
Kona Ice will serve from 5:00 - 7:00pm.
*Families may not take Kona Ice into the school building.
Chalk the walk:
Back to School Edition
Come decorate the sidewalks around the school entrance to welcome students Back to School! Bring your kids, some chalk and your creativity!
Your art and words of encouragement make new and returning students feel so special - and make for some extra memorable first-day-back photos!
School starts on Tuesday, August 26th, so this activity is taking place on MONDAY NIGHT.
Chalk cannot be used under the covered are at the front of the school.
Meet at the BSE main entrance

Back to School Night
This event is for parents/guardians to connect with teachers and learn about curriculum and classroom expectations. 4th and 5th grade teaching teams will address families together. Kindergarten - 3rd grade will meet with families by classroom.
There is not on-site childcare for this event. However, if you do not have access to care for your child, you may bring them with you.
Parking is limited. Please carpool or walk where you are able.

WElcome Coffee for Parents
You did it! They are back in school! Come celebrate at the Welcome Coffee. This is a great place to catch up with old friends, meet new parents, ask questions about what comes next, and enjoy some refreshments on us.
Coffee and light breakfast treats will be provided.
Please check in at the front office before joining us in the BSE Cafeteria.
