Student Directory Application
All families wishing to be included in the Bonny Slope student directory must complete the form linked below.
Before the 2025-26 school year, families' information was furnished by the district and shared within the school community. That is not longer possible. Teachers will be able make class lists available to the families in their classes. These lists will not be shared across classes and will not contain any contact or family information; it is strictly a list of student names in that class.
Please Note:
-
You may choose what information you would like shared so that other BSE families can reach you.
-
Participation in the student directory is completely optional.
-
The school and teachers will not be able to supply contact information to the community.
The Student Directory, usually published in October, will be posted to the BSCO website and will be password protected. Families are welcome to download a copy for personal use. Please do not share the Directory with anyone outside of Bonny Slope Elementary.
The password for the Student Directory will be distributed to families via ParentSquare.
BSD Smart Snack Policy
All foods offered on the school campus should meet the nutrition standards set by the USDA and the Oregon Smart Snacks Standards. This includes, but is not limited to, celebrations, parties, classroom snacks brought by parents, rewards and incentives.
Why?
Improving the nutritional profile of all foods sold in school is critical to:
-
improving diet and overall health of American children;
-
ensuring children from all income levels adopt healthful eating habits that will enable them to live productive lives; and
-
helping children make healthier choices and reducing their risk of obesity.
Where do the standards apply?
On the school campus: all areas of the property under the jurisdiction of the school that are accessible to students during the school day.
When do the standards apply?
During the school day, which is the period from the midnight before, through extended school hours for activities such as clubs, yearbook, athletic practices, band, and drama rehearsals.
Standards do not apply at athletic events, theater performances and recitals or other evening gatherings where parents/community members are significant parts of the audience.
Need help determining if Smart Snacks Standards apply to your situation? See this flowchart.
BSD Smart Snack Compliance List
This list should be used by all volunteers when serving food to students during the school day.
You can review the full policy by clicking here to visit the Beaverton School District website.
Budget Revision Request form
What do you do if you run a committee and you need additional funds?
If it is a one-time overage, contact committees@bonnyslopebsco.org. You will need to include the name of your committee, how much you need over your budget, and what you will provide to the community in exchange for those funds. Your request will be brought to the BSCO board for approval. Depending on the amount requested, a community vote may be needed.
If you think your committee needs an over-all increase in budget for the activity/event, please complete the following form for board consideration.
The board sets the budget for each committee in the spring. We cannot guarantee funds availability at the time of request, or even for the following year.

ParentSquare Support

Sometimes it can be challenging to learn the quirks of a new system and we want to make things easier to sign up as a volunteer.
Click the button below to be taken to a How-To for using the ParentSquare app - both Mobile and Desktop.
Please do not call the Bonny Slope front office. Staff there can only provide extremely limited tech support and are busy with the business of the school day.
If you've reviewed this doc and you need additional support, you can contact either the Director of Committees or the Director of Volunteers via email.
Happy volunteering!
