We know, we know… school hasn’t even started yet! 😅 But it never hurts to get that calendar organized—and get a head start on setting up your Jog-a-Thon PledgeStar account.

Jog-a-Thon is our beloved annual fundraiser, bringing our school community together for a day of running, cheering, school spirit, and FUN—all while raising important funds that support our students and school. ❤️

🍎✏️ Come meet your teacher on Thursday! Join us for a fun evening at school to say hello, see your classroom, and get excited for the year ahead. 📚✨ We can’t wait to see you!

Help us make the first day of school a little extra special! Join us on 8/24 at 6 pm to chalk the walk! 🏫🌈✨ (Kids are welcome to come but must be supervised by a parent 😊)

The BSE track is being overtaken by thorny blackberry branches and we need your help pruning them back! ✂️We’re looking for some yard work loving volunteers … preferably the kind who don’t mind getting into a bramble or two. Join us 8/24 from 4-6 pm and give those blackberry bushes the snip they deserve!

And just like that, we’re back to school in three weeks! 😯⏱️ If you plan on volunteering at school this year, you must be approved via BSD’s application system Raptor. If you’ve never submitted an application you can find the link in our bio. Your approval is good for two years so if you applied when the system rolled out in summer 2024, you should get an email directly from Raptor with instructions on how to renew your approval. We encourage you to do this ASAP so we can hit the ground running this fall! 🏃‍♂️⭐️

Save these dates for summer meet-ups! All BSE families are welcome but this is a great opportunity for new families (incoming kindergarten! 👋) to get together and get to know each other. See you on the playground in August! 🤸☀️

Thank you to everyone who voted and shared their opinions on next year’s budget and the potential track renovation. 🗳️ BSCO will not pursue the track project at this time, and the budget supporting traditional BSCO programming for the 26/27 school year was approved. Friendly reminder that BSCO’s last community meeting of the year is next week - Wednesday, May 20th at 7 pm via Zoom! We will be discussing important budget updates and asking the community to vote on the proposed track improvement project. 💵🗳️ Don’t miss out on this opportunity to chime in! The end of the school year is coming! 😧 And with it lots of fun events at school! 🎉 We would love to have as many parent volunteers to help as possible but friendly reminder that you MUST be approved in Raptor.
