Jog-a-thon 2017 Offers New Classroom Participation Reward Parties

With one week left before our major fall fundraiser, our incredible community has already pledged $10,771 towards the programs and events you’ve come to know and love. With 120 students already participating online, we are almost 20% towards our goal of 511 participating students (80% of student body). Any donation, large or small, is considered participation.

New Classroom Prize Incentive

For the first time, Jog-a-thon is offering classroom rewards based on participation.  Every single classroom that reaches 80% participation will receive a bingo party with popcorn.  For those classrooms taking it to the next level, achieving 90% classroom participation earns a bingo party with donuts and Bobby the Bobcat.  All classroom participation reward parties will be held during school hours.

“I’m so excited for this new option,” shares JAT co-lead, Cara Cook.  “It’s a fun way to encourage more students to give what they can.  It’s not about being the highest earning classroom, but rather gaining participants and involving everyone.”

Here’s a little chart of where each classroom stacks up this week.  Henely and Kang are well on their way, each with over 30% participation.

Online Pages/Raffles

Parents still have time to create their child’s online fundraising page at  Pledgestar allows parents and students to send requests to friends and family across the country with just a few simple steps.

All students with an online page are automatically entered into weekly raffles which include great swag from Nike.

Parents may also put cash or check into the Jog-a-thon envelope and return to the school office.
