"Raising Daughters" Presentation Scheduled for March 8

The final presentation of BSCO’s Parent Education Series, “Raising Daughters” with Kim Demarchi, is scheduled for  Wednesday, March 8 from 7-8:30pm in the BSE library.

Join other parents for an informative and interactive evening as we learn and explore topics and strategies to support healthy, confident daughters. We'll discuss the many physical, emotional, and intellectual developmental changes facing girls today and the impact these forces have on our daughters. Go home with strategies for how to maintain connection and respect, especially as they enter middle school and beyond.

Kim DeMarchi, M.Ed., Certified Parent Educator and Certified Family Coach, has been an educator for almost three decades. Kim is trained and certified through a program called Positive Discipline by Jane Nelsen, as well by the International Network for Children and Families in their Redirecting Children‘s Behavior program.

Kim is active in supporting her local parenting community by providing workshops and classes, coaching families and publishing parenting articles. Kim is a regular guest on KATU's AM Northwest parenting segment and is an active blogger for Knowledge Universe's KinderCare online community. Kim also reaches thousands internationally through her parenting podcasts, available soon on her website. Kim just made her fourth trip to Asia to share her passion in raising cooperative, respectful, resilient and responsible children. Kim’s overall parenting message strives to help reduce conflict, foster mutual respect, and create deeper communication and connections with loved ones.
