Opportunity to host Korean Graduate Student Week of April 18th

Each year the Art Literacy program focuses one of our units on a foreign culture and this year our school will be focusing on Korean Art & Culture.  In addition to including elements of Korean culture in some of the students special, our Art Teacher, Ms. Gillard has arranged for a University of Oregon graduate student to assist with some special projects in Art class, including kite making and traditional Korean pen & ink drawing.

We are in need of 2 host families (one family Monday/Tuesday nights, one family Wednesday/Thursday nights) the week of April 18 for our guest. Our guest's name is Ga-Yeon Go and she is a Fellow with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art Korea Foundation Global Museum.  During the day, Ga-Yeon will be assisting Ms. Gillard in class.  She will need transportation to and from school, meals and a bedroom. This will be a fun opportunity to learn about her life, culture, and more about what she is doing at the U of O. Thanks in advance for considering this opportunity.

Please contact Maureen Louie or Dana Stark if you are interested in hosting Ga-Yeon.
