Let The Battles Begin!

Bonny Slope's Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) program kicked off for BSE's 4th and 5th graders this week.  OBOB is a state-wide reading program where student teams battle it out, competing to answer content questions surrounding the 16-book OBOB list.

The fourth and fifth grades compete in separate double-elimination brackets, held during lunch recess, beginning in January.  Every OBOB team is guaranteed two battles.  The eventual 4th grade champions will take on the 5th grade champions.  That winning team will represent Bonny Slope in the Regional Battle in March.

All 4th and 5th graders received registration materials, detailing the program and schedule.  More info can be found at BSCO's own OBOB resource page.  All registration materials are due back to the library by Wednesday, November 4th.

Parent support is always needed.  Please email BSCO's OBOB Chairs if you are interested in supporting this worthy student enrichment program or be on the lookout for the battle support sign-up genius, coming in January 2016.
